While many of us do our jobs in cubicles and malls, these folks get to work in a barn

Throw away all your old assumptions about what makes good work space.
That’s what the builder of The Barn and Box Office near Alliance Airport has done.
What’s the most unusual work space you have ever seen?
Lots of Texans grew up working in a barn. But that work typically involved horses, hay and perhaps livestock. At Ron Sturgeon’s newest creation near Haslet, a two-story restored barn is now available for conference calls, spreadsheets and other white-collar work.
The structure known simply as “The Barn,” is available for lease at 1921 Golden Heights Road near Alliance Airport.
“What we are betting on with The Barn is that there are business people out there who are tired of the mundane and boring, and let’s face it, most office space for lease fits those descriptions,” Sturgeon said.
The Star-Telegram in September wrote about Sturgeon’s other unusual office space, the “Box Office Warehouse Suites,” which is located on the same lot near the Fort Worth-Haslet border and is fashioned from shipping containers.
This seems like a trend worth noting.
Not too long ago, a company known as Purple Land Management — founded by a couple of Texas Christian University football alumni — was featured in The Dallas Morning News for converting its freight elevator in downtown Fort Worth into a conference room.
