A Full Day of Events and Fun at New, Funky, Hip Business Park
FORT WORTH, TX, October 25, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ — “I don’t know where to start,” local real estate developer, Ron Sturgeon, said when asked about his upcoming arts festival. “It was our desire that our new business park, Box Office Warehouse Suites, be the funkiest, hippest business park in the Fort Worth area. There was a good chance it would be since it is made entirely from shipping containers, but just in case, we held a contest for local street artists to paint some great art on some of the containers. The Art-On-A-Can Arts Festival is the culmination of all that.
“Then I turned to my favorite charitable organization, SPCA of Texas, and asked them to become a part of the arts festival. They instantly said they would, so all proceeds go towards that worthy organization. We are even having a St. Patty’s Day Dog Costume Contest as part of the festivities, along with a great deal more.”
SPCA of Texas will, indeed, have their mobile adoption vehicle on site at Box Office Warehouse Suites. The vehicle will be full of furry friends looking for a new home. There will also be an information table where event attendees can learn more about SPCA of Texas’s volunteer program, foster program, and upcoming special events.
But that’s just the tip of this social iceberg. There will be live bands, free food, games for the kids, a gallery walk featuring the work of local artists, local arts and crafts vendors, and of course the street art/graffiti art will be on display. There will also be tours of the retrofitted and professionally-designed shipping container/suites provided by Container King.
“SPCA benefits, local artists benefit and everyone will have fun,” Sturgeon concluded. “I see that as a win-win situation any old way you look at it.”
The Arts Festival will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 17, 2018, and Sturgeon wants to make sure everyone knows dogs are welcome. $5 per person, kids under 12 are free, all proceeds go to SPCA of Texas.
