FORT WORTH, TX, August 22, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ — It’s not every day that Fort Worth sees a new business park open, one made entirely from shipping containers. In fact, when Box Office Warehouse Suites opens its doors for business, it will be the only container-building business park in the United States, according to Jim Eaton, its leasing manager.
And it’s not every day that a business of any sort holds a contest supporting graffiti/street artists in Fort Worth. In fact, we can’t think of it ever happening.
So the Art on a Can Contest, sponsored by Box Office Warehouse Suites, is, without a doubt, unique on many levels.
Box Office Warehouse Suites is the brainchild of local serial entrepreneur Ron Sturgeon, owner of over one-million square feet of small, multi-use commercial properties in Tarrant County, and it is the first, and only, shipping container business park in the Greater Fort Worth area, thirty-eight units made from 100 containers, retrofitted, remodeled, professionally-designed, and multi-use.
And to celebrate this “one-of-a-kind” business park, Sturgeon has decided to hold a contest for graffiti/street artists, a contest where they will compete for a $1,500 Grand Prize.
“We want to showcase graffiti art while at the same time showcasing Box Office Warehouse Suites,” says Sturgeon. “There is this fantastic culture of talented artists out there, doing remarkable work in the Arts, and we believe they deserve their moment in the sun. So, we dreamed up this contest to celebrate their dynamic energy and talents. We are going to connect the Arts and Business in a way Fort Worth has never seen.”
Local residents know better than to bet against Sturgeon, recently showcased on CNBC’s Blue Collar Millionaires. This is a man who was once homeless, who made his first nest egg in the salvage business, and who has risen to lofty heights in commercial real estate through his RDS Real Estate company, so if he believes the Arts and Business can find mutual connectivity, people listen and take notice.
